Bienvenidos a Fareham Spanish

My name is Placido and I am the main tutor behind Fareham Spanish; a small and local Spanish school that offers online tuition and face to face lessons for all levels and needs.

I lived in the south of Spain not far from Córdoba and Sevilla before moving to England in 2013. Isn´t it crazy how time flies?

After qualifying as a Primary age teacher, I moved to the UK with the intention to to gain more experience in SEN. My plan was to return after two years, but then I felt in love with the country, the way of life and the rest is history. Back in 2014 I thought it would be incredible to create a school for students who wish to learn without the pressure of formal learning where you might feel silly for not knowing all the answers!

Our experience expands from teaching babies to adult education with experience teaching GCSE´s too. Three of our students have achieved grades 9s in Higher Tier Spanish which I am extremely proud off. My motto is "it is never too late to learn" and my mission is to offer everyone in Fareham and surrounding areas the opportunity to learn as part of a small group at a competitive rate.

My name is Natalia. I’m originally from Gran Canaria, Spain and we moved to the UK in 2018, first we lived in London and now we are in Portsmouth.

I have been teaching at Fareham Spanish for a year now. I have had the joy to teach two groups so far and it is such a rewarding job at the end of the day.

In my spare time I love to paint, watch Tarantino’s movies and love music too.

I am patient, generous, friendly and an honest person.

A Spanish school with native teachers

My name is María, and I’m originally from the south of Spain.

Languages have always been my greatest passion, and that passion is what led me to become a language teacher. Teaching Spanish allows me to share not only the language but also the rich culture that comes with it. What I love most about teaching Spanish is the joy of seeing my students light up as they connect with the language and culture. There’s something truly magical about witnessing their progress and knowing that I’m part of their journey to not only learn a new language but also to embrace a new culture.

I consider myself adventurous, friendly, and social, and I absolutely love exploring new places. In my free time, you’ll often find me enjoying Latin music and dancing salsa or bachata, as well as going outdoors whenever possible.
